Advocates for Children of New Jersey Gets New Look

Robbinsville, NJ – August 16, 2010 - Portal Prodigy implements a major face lift to the highly popular ACNJ website www.acnj.org The re-designed website was launched August first and ACNJ is already receiving plenty of accolades. According to Mary Coogan, Assistant Director of ACNJ, "We are getting very positive response to the new website. People love the look and the pictures." 

ACNJ was Portal Prodigy's first client and has been using the PortalProdigy Interaction & Content Management System for nine years.  PortalProdigy allows ACNJ to publish a resource library of more than 1000 documents online.  ACNJ uses a wide variety of PortalProdigy features including news publisher, resource library, events calendar, event registration, book sales, contact registration & management, email broadcasting, newsletter publishing, surveys, request management, reporting, and search engine optimization (SEO). 

PortalProdigy's page and template management system allows ACNJ to differentiate various sections within their website with unique banners and different side bar content while maintaining a standard look and branding throughout the entire website. PortalProdigy's page and template management system combined with its version control allows design changes to be implemented without immediately publishing them. This allowed the new ACNJ design to be loaded and tested then published live when they were ready to launch their new design. Existing content is preserved and the new design automatically applied. A major benefit of this is that PortalProdigy preserves the URLs for existing content, thus preserving the page placement and rankings in the search engines as well as inbound links from other websites. Too often this is overlooked by organizations when redesigning their websites. 

ACNJ also uses PortalProdigy's sharing feature to share content with their sister website www.kidlaw.org PortalProdigy's sharing feature allows an organization to create separate websites for each chapter or affiliate, each having unique content as well as shared content. The sharing feature can also be used to create websites for different languages and markets.
